WPO MISSION STATEMENT

What It IS 

The Nashville Widowed Persons Organization™ is a group of people with a common bond. That bond being the loss of a spouse through death. The WPO offers an opportunity for this group to enjoy fun, fellowship, and information with others. The group offers a chance to build a network of new friends sharing this common bond. 

Meetings are also a venue to distribute helpful information from community experts such as police, firefighters, estate-related professionals, physicians, nurses, etc. The group will have input regarding any speakers for the group. The Widowed Persons Organization™ meetings are a time for members to heal and draw upon the strengths of  other members. 

 What It IS NOT

The Widowed Persons Organization™ is not a sales pitch from the funeral home or cemetery, nor is it a way for the funeral home or cemetery to collect money. There are no dues or costs associated with the group. Meetings are not held at the funeral home. They are held at local restaurants, churches, or perhaps, individual homes of members on special occasions. The WPO is not a sad, death-related group. All meetings are structured to provide fun and fellowship for the members.
